DREAM ACTing walk goes to Washington DC

We’re back from Washington DC after spending a full day visiting congressmen, congresswomen and their representatives, First i would like to publicly thank Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke and her Legislative Assistant Kenya W. Handy for their time, words of wisdom and unconditional support. Ms. Clarke’s voice and ours united together create a powerful message. We have returned from Washington with more energy than ever; inspired to work towards making the Dream Act a priority and a reality.  While we are sad that we are still talking about the merits of an obviously logical bill like that Dream Act, we are happy and optimistic that it will eventually pass. It can and will be done, but it will take lots of hard work and a powerful united movement to achieve this noble goal. We call on all Dream Act Activists and supporters to unite, connect and work together to achieve a goal that is much larger than the sum of its parts. From this visit we have come up with a plan that encompasses all of our ideas, needs and support from US representatives to pass this bill but we need your help
