I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere thanks to all who came out in support of our cause at last week’s vigil. While we were a modestly sized group, we showed how united we are. Even those who were simply passing by stopped by to take notice. Some of the people passing by even stopped and asked questions. And while some people stayed and prayed with us, some people simply listen and nodded, while others shook their heads in disagreement, one thing was certain; we created awareness. We started conversations and we spread our message. If we made even one person aware of The Dream Act, we did our job. The purpose of our vigil was not to bring everyone to our side of the fight, the purpose was to show how we are one group united under God to ask for help. The fight ahead of us is a long one. We will have many more hurdles to jump and much higher mountains to climb. But I am confident that as we gain more momentum and more support, the government will eventually do the right thing and pass The Dream Act. Future generations depend on us to show congress the way. And we will succeed. Thanks again my friends, I look forward to seeing you at the next event! GodSpeed!
